On-Street Parking Permits

YEARLY, OVERNIGHT ON-STREET
PARKING PERMITS
APPLYING FOR A PERMIT

Permits are issued  when there is not enough space at a residence to accommodate all vehicles registered to that address. They are not issued for convenience reasons.

Depending upon the number of permits requested you may be required to provide proof of all licensed drivers at the address.

Vehicles with permits must be in use, and must be moved at least every 48 hours.

Permits do not exempt vehicles from the rules of a snow emergency. Vehicles must be removed from the street, until it has been plowed by the city.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
A current (not expired) REGISTRATION must be shown for ALL V EHICLES registered to the address (not iust the vehicle(s) which are to be parked in the street) including boats, trailers, RVs, etc. that are at the home. This is done every year. Please note that only 1 trailer will count towards your total number of vehicles.

Photo copies are acceptable. At the time of application, an officer will check the residence to determine whether or not a permit is warranted. Neither the vehicles nor the homeowner needs to be present when this takes place. A temporary permit will be issued so that you will not be ticketed during this period. You will call the number listed below in approximately 5 days to learn whether or not you have been approved. There will be a $3 charge for each permit that is approved. A title must be shown for any unlicensed vehicles, which MUST B E STORED IN A GARAIGE.

lf you have recently moved to SCS, and your registration has not been updated, you will need to change your address on your driver's license to reflect your new SCS address.

RENEWAL
