Crime Watch Program
The Community Resource Officer coordinates the St Clair Shores Police Department Crime Watch Program which includes Neighborhood Watch, Business Watch and the Marine Watch programs. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Community Resource Officer.

Neighborhood Watch
Neighborhood Watch is made up of volunteers, people trying to make a difference in their neighborhood. The success of this program is determined by the commitment of you and your neighbors have made to be the eyes and ears in the community. It provides a unique infrastructure that brings together law enforcement and citizens for the protection of the community.

Business Watch
Business Watch is a crime prevention program that enlists the active participation of business owners and their employees along with law enforcement to reduce crime in our community. Business Watch is a free program that shows business owners and employees crime prevention techniques and strategies they can use to cut down on business-related crime.

Marina Watch
The St Clair Shores Police Department would like to provide you with an official ‘Marina Watch’ logo that you can affix to your boat or boat well.  This logo will alert the public that you will report anything suspicious to the police.  The logo themselves may also serve as a deterrent and assist in marina-wide crime prevention efforts.  ‘Marina Watch’ participants are asked to report any suspicious persons and situations.  The sooner an occurrence is reported, the faster the patrol officer and other emergency personnel can respond.

The primary responsibility of ‘Crime Watch’ participants is to Observe and Report.  Participants should not become directly involved in an incident that is taking place.  Participants are asked to simply observe as much as possible and call 911.  The more information provided, the more likely the police will be able to apprehend and positively identify criminal suspects.
